Father's Day!!!

The 3rd Sunday in June...Father's Day!!! This holiday leaves a bitter taste in some folks mouth more than any other holiday. I think it is because mama won't ever leave you, based on circumstances daddy can leave you and sometimes never come back. I have made peace with alot of things dealing with my Daddy. Though he is the smartest man that I know, some of his choices in life have not been. It took me recognizing my relationship with my "heavenly" father to make peace about my "earthly" father. The 5th commandment is "Honor your Father and  your Mother, so that you can live long in the land of the Lord your God is giving you." Exodus 20:12 NIV. Along with this, I had to forgive him...and let stuff go. Basically, I had to love my Daddy with the love of Jesus. In conclusion, if you are reading this and still have issues with your "earthly" father, give it over to your "heavenly" father. "It is much easier to become a father than to be one." Even if you don't agree with me, thank you for taking the time to see it Jen's way.
